Optagon is proud to announce its participation in the research and innovation action called 3PEAT and funded by the European Commission under the H2020 framework programme. The action will run for 3 years, starting from January 1st 2018, and will aim to develop 3D photonic integrated circuits for optical switching and remote sensing and ranging applications.

Optagon has moved to Lefkippos Technology Park located in the campus of the National Centre for Scientific Research "Demokritos" in Agia Paraskevi, Athens. Lefkippos is member of the International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation (IASP) and operates under the supervision of "Demokritos".

Christos Kouloumentas was nomitated by the Greek National Coordinator as a Management Committee Substitute to COST Action CA 16220.The action will build a European Network for High-Performance Integrated Microwave Photonics (EUIMWP) with application in scenarios such as 5G, automotive and aerospace technologies. Through this participation, Optagon Photonics aims to contribute to the development of knowledge, roadmaps and interactions between the European academia and industry in this exciting field, bringing the perspective of the Greek photonics ecosystem.
